We are proud to announce that the project Dolce Vita has been awarded funding. In this project 17 organizations will share their knowledge and all relevant (operational) data to build a data driven model to improve the chain of acute elderly care. Ahti is joining forces in this research project with Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), Amsterdam Universitair Medische Centra (Amsterdam UMC) and SIGRA. Too often, elderly people experience difficulties in receiving prompt, adequate and appropriate care when needed. Temporary care is not always quickly available. The hospital’s emergency department is structurally overloaded and placement of elderly people is often difficult after hospitalization. Due to the lack of clarity in the total chain, it is often impossible to determine how this can be improved. The partners in this project want to improve the quality of acute elderly care by developing a data model to improve the flow of the chain.
