Who are the Dutch corona patients? What age do they have, in which city or part of the city do they live? Are they born in the Netherlands or do they have a migration background? A group of Amsterdam-based researchers want to find answers to these questions by combining data, so that the Dutch government can fight the coronavirus faster and more precise.
This is not happening yet, but the researchers would like to combine data from Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS), that collects all data about Dutch citizens, with the results of Covid-19 positive-tested citizens. “In this way one can see much clearer in which groups the virus is active. And you can follow the spread of the virus much better,” says managing director Michiel Heidenrijk from the Amsterdam health & technology institute.
